The annual Hot Times Music Festival in Columbus takes place this year on September 7th, 8th and 9th at 240 Parsons Ave on the intersection of Main and Parsons Avenue. The Hot Times Festival is an independent and all volunteer driven community arts and music festival in Columbus, Ohio. The location of the festival is a beautiful grassy area with mature hardwood trees providing the perfect spot to relax and enjoy music. In addition to the wealth of music festival goers can expect amazing art, kid friendly events, poetry, a street fair environment, and of course the always popular “art cars“.
This year’s headline performance features Charles Walker and the Dynamites. Charles Walker and the Dynamites are crusaders on behalf of old-school soul, but their infectious music and red-hot stage show have little to do with nostalgia. Their explosive soul-funk style and Walker’s raw, galvanizing vocals are all about motivating audiences to get up and groove in the here and now.
