Jazz Arts Group’s PBJ & Jazz, a concert series that introduces jazz to young children and their families, returns this weekend for another slate of exciting and educational shows in the beautiful Lincoln Theatre ballroom. Hosted by retired music educator, former Columbus Music Hall owner and current Bungalow Jazz operator Becky Ogden, these 1-hour interactive concerts help to expose young audiences to the magic of live music, with some of the area’s greatest musicians taking part. Due to popular demand, each scheduled concert will continue to include two performance times: 10am and 11:30am. The season gets off to a strong start on Saturday, November 14th with up-and-coming vocalist Liz Woolley accompanied by the Aaron Scott Quartet. PBJ & Jazz concerts are 1-hour long interactive concerts designed to introduce jazz and American music to young children and their families. Featuring some of Columbus’ finest musicians and ensembles, PBJ & Jazz concerts are hosted by former Columbus Music Hall owner and retired music educator Rebecca Ogden and are a great introduction to live music for the youngest audience member.
“It has been so much fun over the years to work with great musicians playing real live jazz for kids and their families. Every concert is a treat. I am delighted that PBJ & Jazz has a life after the Columbus Music Hall!”
