Brass Band of Columbus This Sunday at the Lincoln Theatre

Join the Brass Band Columbus featuring trumpet soloist Ronald Romm this Sunday at the Lincoln Theatre at 4pm. Ronald Romm is a former and founding member of the world famous Canadian Brass and a member of the Canadian Brass Trumpet Dream Team 2007-09. Ronald Romm is a Yamaha artist/clinician, and performs exclusively on Yamaha instruments.

Founded in 1984, the Brass Band of Columbus has been at the forefront of the resurgence of the American brass band movement for over twenty years. The award-winning band’s instrumentation is brass and percussion only, following the tradition of British brass bands. The unpaid professionals who make up this 45-piece ensemble include over thirty active or retired music educators and a wide range of other professions. The BBC is all-volunteer and is a 501-(c)3 Non Profit organization sustained financially through donations and other funding.

The Brass Band of Columbus averages over twenty appearances per year at indoor and outdoor venues, community events, and church services. Major appearances include The Mid-West Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, The Great American Brass Band Festival in Danville, Kentucky, the Ohio Music Educators Association Conference, and state, national, and international conferences of musical organizations. In 2000, the BBC performed as a part of the British Open Brass Band competition in Birmingham, England.
