The annual Creekside Blues and Jazz Festival comes to Gahanna’s Creekside District this Friday, June 16th (5 – 11pm), Saturday, June 17th (11am – 11pm), and Sunday, June 18th (12 – 6pm). Single day tickets ($7 – $10) and weekend passes are available – click here for more details. Originally started in 1998, this festival features a number of premier blues bands, local and regional jazz acts, and a selection of other local bands lined up throughout the weekend. The festival is a great place to take in a variety of great live music and family friendly events. Each year close to 35,000 people from throughout Central Ohio and other parts of the US attend the popular festival.

The jazz lineup for the weekend is as follows. All shows on the “Heartland Bank Jazz Stage” unless otherwise noted:

Saturday, June 17th

Columbus Youth Jazz Orchestra – Noon
SpeakEasy – 3pm
fo/mo/deep – 5pm
FLIPPO with Kelly Delaveris: “Music of Chick Corea” – 7pm
Swings the Thing Big Band – 7pm – Community Stage
Tony Monaco Trio with Harvey Mason and Chuck Loeb Perry Hughes – 9pm

Sunday, June 18th

Ken Weaver Trio – 12:30pm
Tribute to Billie Holiday with Lisa Clark Trio – 2:30pm
Richie Cole with the Dave Powers Trio – 4:30pm
