Local jazz fusion group, Descendre, is back after a month-long hiatus. Keyboardist and leader, Adam Smiths’ long absence due to his tour has the group pent up and ready to rumble. The “power trio” will perform this Friday night, November 5th at the Woodland’s Tavern (formerly the Thirsty Ear) with the show beginning at 8:30pm. Founder Adam Smith is a prolific multi-instrumentalist and composer in a variety of genres including fusion, jazz, avant-garde and hard rock. Composing constantly since the age of four, Adam possesses incredibly finely-tuned musical and performance senses and uses them to great effect.
Justin Campbell is a superbly talented drummer and percussionist with a knack for fusion constructs and an incredibly insightful ear. Justin is in very high demand and performs constantly throughout the midwest in a wide variety of music.
Jim Tussing is a bassist, vocalist, keyboardist and composer with over 20 years of musical experience in rock, funk and fusion.
