Jazz Monday nights continue with Vaughn Wiester’s 21-piece Famous Jazz Orchestra at the Clintonville Woman’s Club on November 25rd at 7 p.m., but this time with a special guest. For only the second time, there will be a “no tables” concert because of an expected large crowd when drummer Jeff Hamilton of the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra will be featured, having just returned from (with his trio) a concert tour in Russia, Slovakia, Switzerland, and France.
Few jazz drummers have had careers as rewarding and successful as Jeff Hamilton’s. In 1974, he began playing with The New Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. Soon after he worked with Lionel Hampton’s band, followed by a stint with The Monty Alexander Trio. Read more: www.hamiltonjazz.com
