Easton’s "Sounds on the Town Series" Returns Wednesday with fo/mo/deep

Easton Town Center, just northeast of downtown Columbus near Gahanna, is known more for its shopping and restaurants than it is for live music, but the Easton “Sounds on the Town” music series has continued to bring some of the best local acts to the outdoor performance courtyard. This season has already featured live jazz from the Urban Jazz Coalition, the Hamilton Hardin Quartet, Dwight Lenox, and Big Sam’s Funky Nation. The jazz series happens every Wednesday from 6pm-9pm throughout the summer on the “Town Square” just outside of Brio Tuscan grille.

This week features the live jazz grooves of fo/mo/deep, an eclectic groove oriented “Funky Jazz Collective”, led by bassist Ron Holmes Jr. fo/mo/deep performs a tasty and interesting fusion of flavors including: Jazz, Funk & World Grooves. fo/mo/deep is celebrating the release of their 2nd full length CD entitled “A Beautiful Bang” which as already received a number of positive reviews around the country.

Rob Young from the Urban Flux wrote “Arguably funk wannabees have masqueraded around the funk jazz idiom for years impersonating, mirroring, and emulating this compulsive sound. However, fo/mo/deep meets and surpasses the criteria with their original and consistent voice.”

After fo/mo/deep this week, stay tuned for more jazz oriented performances this year from:
