Jazz Hall of Fame saxophonist and Columbus native Carl Sally will perform at Natalie’s Coal Fired Pizza and Live Music this Friday. Born in the Franklinton area in 1936, Sally has performed professionally since the 1950s in many styles and formats, but often with a sound varying between and mixing jazz and R&B. He retired in 1988 from the Sheraton Hotel chain but still makes occasional appearances at home and abroad. For his return to Natalie’s, expect a mix of jazz standards and his takes on jazz/R&B/fusion classics.
