Jazz & Eggs style Jam session, ongoing music, food, friends: Since 1958, Saxophone player Gene Walker has toured with some of the world’s greatest entertainers and played in venues all over the World. He is a retired professor from OSU and when he can, still works to bring the jazz tradition into schools with the American Jazz Experience Program, and the Jazz Professors Performing Septet. He has served in arts residencies with the Ohio Arts Council and the Greater Columbus Arts Council, and has instructed at the Jamey Aebersold Jazz camps for over 12 years. He has received the International Association of Jazz Educators Award, The Key Note Award and is in the Columbus Musicians Hall of Fame.
