On Wednesday February 10th, violinist Christian Howes and his “Dangerous Band” will perform, as they do every Wednesday, at Dick’s Den at 9:00 p.m. Admission is $4. Dick’s Den is located at 2417 North High Street Columbus, OH 43202.
This week will mark the departure of one of Columbus’s great young talents, Kenny Banks Jr., as he moves away to Atlanta to join his father Kenny Banks Sr., also a well-respected jazz pianist, formerly well-known among the Columbus music scene.
Says Howes:
“Kenny Banks Jr. shares the soulfulness in the playing of his father, with the boundless energy and guts of youth. Come on out to wish him good luck and hear this amazing talent one last time in Columbus, at least for a while. We’re expecting a great night as friends and fans come out to wish Kenny off.”
