Goodale Park Music Series with Yumbambé This Sunday

This Sunday August 1st, marks the 3rd event of the 2010 Goodale Park Music Series and features local Latin jazzers, Yumbambé. Yumbambé is Latin Jazz, bringing together the lush sound of jazz harmony with the vibrant rhythms of Afro-Cuban drumming. Lead by Eric “the FISH” Paton, this group has hosted regular weekly shows since 1995 featuring authentic Salsa music and dance instruction.

Yumbambé floats the greats of the Jazz standard collection on the tide of Latin rhythm and culture that has splashed the shores of popular music for decades. The arrangements are presented in a diverse collection of rhythms including meringue, calypso, bembe, cha cha, samba and bossa nova.
