Hot Times Festival, the annual independent and all volunteer music and arts festival, returns this September 5th through 7th on the corner of Parsons Ave. and Main Street on the grassy lawns of the Columbus Health Department. Hot Times is a sister festival to the popular Comfest held each year in Goodale Park in June. Hot Times hosts dozens of live music acts from bluegrass to reggae and jazz on several stages in addition to the numerous artists, poetry slams, drum circles, children’s activities and of course, “artcars”. This year’s festival features several tributes including Kate Schulte and the legendary saxophonist, Gene Walker. Below are some of the jazz related acts over the course of the weekend.
