This Thursday evening, Natalie’s Coal Fired Pizza presents the Caribbean Jazz Quintet starting at 9pm, a perfect compliment to the warmer Spring weather. The Caribbean Jazz Quintet (CJQ) performs jazz and popular tunes with an island twist. From Bob Marley to The Beatles, Miles to Poncho Sanchez, this infectious band appeals to the young, old, and the young at heart. From festivals to private events, CJQ is sure to please everyone, and was featured at the 2012 Columbus Jazz & Ribs Festival. The band consists of Nate Anders (steel drum, vibes, percussion), Jim Ed Cobbs (keyboards, percussion), Dave DeWitt (keyboards, percussion), Jeff Ciampa (bass, percussion), and Aaron Scott (drums, percussion).

Saw the performance at Natalie’s last night, it was OUTSTANDING! Loved every minute of their amazing musicianship! (no, I’m not related to any of them, I was just a random member of the audience, I swear!) I’m a fan of several from seeing them play in the context of other groups, it was interesting to hear this particular mix. Very much looking forward to seeing this group again!
