Or learn the basics of the music business – from contracts and agents to royalties and copyright law – in Music Business 101. Join Sean Carney for CAMP Blues, a week-long ensemble experience focusing on learning about and playing the blues, or get ready to rock in CAMP Rock with Dennis Hodges and Ryan Jewell. Learn the art and science of music production and recording using music industry software such as Pro Tools™ in Studio CAMP with professional recording engineers from Central City Recording. Bradley Sowash offers an introduction to jazz and popular piano styles with CAMP Keyboard, designed for intermediate to advanced traditionally-trained pianists interested in learning to play “off the page.” And J is for Jazz CAMP will give kids, ages 7-11, the opportunity to indulge in jazz play by creating and improvising through music, movement, art, and drama.

Other summer camps offered at the Jazz Academy include Strings the Thing CAMP with Chris Shaw; “No Charts!” Ensemble and Improvisation with Jay Miglia; 1st Time Improvisers with Bradley Sowash; and Beginning Arrangement and Notational Software with Vaughn Wiester.
