Jazz Arts Group Welcomes New Board Member & Elects Officers

The Jazz Arts Group of Columbus (JAG) is pleased to welcome Dennis V. Yacobozzi as a new member of its board of directors.

Mr. Yacobozzi is founder and President of United American Capital Corporation, a registered investment advisor, specializing in institutional fixed-income. Prior to UACC, Mr. Yacobozzi served as Executive Director, Investments and Banking for the Ohio Treasury managing the state’s portfolio of $7 billion in assets. He also acted as senior advisor to former State Treasurer Mary Ellen Withrow regarding matters of policy and special-purpose investment programs.

Mr. Yacobozzi is also a member of the Ohio Association of Public Treasurers; the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada; the Ohio Government Finance Officers Association; the Cleveland Federation of Musicians, Local 4; and a past participant of the OSU Jazz Lab Ensemble as First Tenor.

Officers elected for 2010-2011 are: James L. Barnes, Vice President, Wealth Management Advisor, Merrill Lynch, elected as Board President; Carol A. McGuire, President, CAM Associates, LLC, elected President-Elect; Linda J. Siefkas, President, Siefkas Public Relations, elected Secretary; Anthony F. Salvatore, Commercial Lending Manager, Fifth Third Bank, elected Treasurer; and Dan Weiss, CFO, Highway Patrol Retirement System, serving as Past President.
