Formed in September of 2013, the Rorschach Trio performs an eclectic mix of jazz standards, pop, and originals. Members include Brian Lang, saxophones; Dean Marcellana, keyboards; and Greg Wolfram, upright bass. The focus of the group is to bring jazz to a broader audience through recognizable melodies and interesting arrangements that are not just solo after solo all night long. In the summer of 2014 we performed at the Columbus Arts Festival (http://columbusartsfestival.org/) and Comfest (http://www.comfest.com/).
The Rorschach Trio has performed at public and private events throughout the state of Ohio. We play at a reasonable ambient volume for small parties and cocktail hours and have also performed for wedding receptions and ceremonies with great success. The instrumentation is saxophone, piano, and upright bass, and we can also add drums for larger dance heavy events and festivals to become the “Rorschach Quartet.”
