Tuesday’s are big jazz jam nights in Columbus with 2 outstanding jams happening regularly. The most prominent is the Tuesday night jazz jam session at Park Street Tavern with Pete Mills, Andy Woodson, Eric Augis and Reggie Jackson. This jam starts at 8:30 pm and features some of the best jazz players in the city.

Also on Tuesday nights is a new jazz jam session that used to be at Rumba Cafe but now has moved over to Ruby Tuesday’s (not the chain restaurant!) on Summit St. The Jazz Jam with the RFG Quartet with Evan Oberla, starts a bit later and many times you will see the jazz jammers from Park Street head over to Ruby Tuesday’s on Summit afterwards for some late night jamming. The RFG Quartet also usually features Nate Smith on bass and Maxwell Button on drums.
