Jazz On A Summer's Day at Columbus Museum of Art

The Columbus Museum of Art will host a series of four jazz concerts on alternating Sundays in July and August. Entitled Jazz On A Summer’s Day, each installment will feature pianist Richard Lopez in collaboration with different local jazz greats. Though the music will vary between performances, overall Lopez and his guests will present “music that reflects the relaxed vibes of summer, with tinges of Latin and cool, laid-back West Coast jazz styles.” The series kicks off Sunday, July 6th, with a group of Lopez, trombonist Vaughn Wiester, bassist Doug Richeson, and drummer Matt Wagner. All concerts run from 3-5pm, and tickets are available here. The list of musicians joining Lopez for the remaining concerts follows:

Sunday, July 20th: Derek DiCenzo (guitar)

Sunday, August 3rd: The Richard Lopez Trio with Jim Rupp (drums) and Roger Hines (bass)

Sunday, August 17th: Kelly Delaveris (vocalist)
