The 10th season of “JazZoo” returns this summer with the Columbus Jazz Orchestra bringing big band jazz to the Columbus Zoo, accompanied by a variety of national and international jazz talent. The four-concert series kicks off Friday, July 10th, and runs through August 7th. Concerts take place at the zoo’s Water’s Edge Events Park along the O’Shaughnessy Reservoir. Gates open for each performance at 6:30pm with concerts beginning at 8pm. The full schedule is:

  • Friday, July 10 – “Hello Dolly – Music From Broadway & the Silver Screen” featuring Carly Thomas Smith (more info)
  • Friday, July 17 – “Basie, Duke & The Big Bands” featuring Ken Peplowski (more info)
  • Friday, July 31 – “Ella, Louis & All That Jazz” featuring Nicki Parrott (more info)
  • Friday, August 7 – “Smooth Crooners: Nat King Cole and Beyond” featuring Denzal Sinclaire (more info)

Ticket prices (includes zoo admission and concert, parking is $8 per car for all but zoo members):

  • Adult single: $30 (advance)/$35 (day of)
  • Adult single: $25 (advance)/$35 (day of) for CJO subscribers/Columbus Zoo members
  • Student single: $20 with ID
  • Adult concert series: $109 per person (if purchased after June 12)
  • Single concert corporate table of 8: $350 (does not include food)
  • Concert series corporate table of 8: $1,200 (does not include food)
