A memorial concert will be held at Capital University’s Mees Hall on Sunday, June 15th for the late pianist, educator, composer, and arranger Mark Flugge. Mark taught at the Capital University Conservatory of Music as well as Ohio State University over the years. This performance will be a celebration of his life and music by friends, family and many musicians that shared and experienced performances with Mark throughout his career. A video and slide presentation begins at 1:30pm with music starting at 2:00pm. Donations to the Mark Flugge Memorial Fund can be made at any Fifth Third Bank or mailed to Mark Flugge Memorial Fund c/o Dr. Lisa Jelle, Capital University Conservatory of Music, 1 College & Main, Columbus, OH 43209.

“My fondest wish is that his music lives on,” Flugge’s wife, Lisa Jelle said.

On Sunday, the community will be able to make that wish come true.
