Brian Lang hails from Columbus, Ohio and is a versatile multiple woodwind performer and educator. Brian has spent the better part of the last five years touring the world with various shows including most recently: The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Color Purple National Tour, In the Mood: A 1940’s Swing Revue National Tour, and Elf: The Musical National Tour.
Brian has performed at high profile venues in many countries including the Maison Symphonique in Montreal, Canada as part of the 2016 Montreal Jazz Festival as well as Festival Hall in Osaka, Japan, and Orchard Hall in Tokyo, Japan. In January 2019, Brian had the honor to perform for the Ohio Governor’s Inauguration Ball at the Ohio Statehouse. In June 2019, he also performed at the US embassy in Paris, France at an event co-produced by Disney commemorating the anniversary of the Apollo missions. While in Columbus, Brian leads the Rorschach Quartet and performs with the Rick Brunetto Big Band, In Full Swing, and other ensembles around town. He has also performed with several CAPA “Broadway in Columbus” shows at the Ohio Theatre and CATCO shows at the Vern Riffe Center.
He enjoys drinking good coffee and, when he’s not on tour, spending time with Mickey, his Australian cattle dog.
