The rich style of vocalist Debra James Tucker is a product of her extensive training in jazz, gospel and classical music. “Kathleen Battle with a pork chop”. She has toured Europe in the opera Porgy and Bess and with jazz and gospel ensembles, toured with Michael Bolton, has appeared with the Columbus Symphony and with countless jazz artists.

Debra is a graduate of Denison University and the University of Michigan Law School. She is the author/performer of an award winning solo theatre show Survival of the Boulevard Singer and an advocate of the use of arts to effect social change.

Debra currently teaches History of Gospel Music at Denison University maintains a small client list of artists and performs extensively in the Central Ohio area.
