Local jazz Hammond B3 master Tony Monaco never sleeps. Or so it seems. From performing to touring to teaching, it seems Tony always is moving forward in the music industry in one way or another. The latest updates from Tony include a new Instructional DVD, online lessons for B3 students and a new Hammond B3 Major being conducted at Capital University by Tony himself.
Tony’s newest Instructional DVD just released is “Blues 102“, a comprehensive look at many hip blues changes, substitutes and progressions including Parker changes, minor blues, tags and endings. This is a follow up to his popular “Blues 101” instructional video. This is in addition to Tony’s entire catalog of Instructional DVD’s and specials located here http://www.b3monaco.com/Specials.htm
For many musicians, teaching is an integral part of their everyday routine and something they thoroughly enjoy. While most of the sessions take place at their home or school, Tony provides students with opportunities to take lessons with him online. Online lessons have become Tony’s new educational priority to teach students in real time from anywhere on the globe. Some of Tony’s students are professional musicians from Copenhagen, The United Kingdom, Denmark, in addition to an up coming Chicken Coup Records artist from San Francisco. More information on Tony’s online lessons with pricing can be found here: http://www.b3monaco.com/lesson.htm
And finally, Tony Monaco recently joined the Capital University faculty here for the first ever Hammond B3 Major in a B.A. in music performance or education. This is exciting news for Tony, Capital University and the city of Columbus to have one of the only programs offering this. Congrats Tony and Capital for working to set this up.
