OSU School of Music Jazz Ensembles to Perform Three Concerts

Join the Ohio State University Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Lab Ensemble and Jazz Workshop Ensemble for concerts throughout October:

The Jazz Ensemble will perform a concert Sunday, October 20, at 3 pm in Weigel Hall Auditorium, 1866 College Rd. The Jazz Ensemble is directed by Ted McDaniel.

The Jazz Lab Ensemble will present “Panorama in Blue” on Sunday, October 27, at 3 pm in Weigel Hall Auditorium, 1866 College Rd. The program will include Duke Ellington’s famous blues ballad I’m Just a Lucky So and So, and the lesser-known Sepia Panorama; Stan Kenton’s exciting classic Artistry in Rhythm; John Coltrane’s standard Blue Train; and more. The Jazz Lab Ensemble is directed by Kristopher Keith.

The Jazz Workshop Ensemble will perform a concert Tuesday, October 29, at 8 pm in Weigel Hall Auditorium, 1866 College Rd. The Jazz Workshop Ensemble is directed by Jim Masters.

Tickets for each concert are $10 general admission, $5 senior citizens, Alumni Association members, non-Ohio State students and children. Free to all ConcertCard holders and Ohio State students, faculty and staff (1 ticket per BuckID presented in person, subject to availability).
