ProMusica and the Three Mo’ Tenors Close 33rd season

The ProMusica Chamber Orchestra will bring an exciting finish to their 33rd season with a benefit cocktail reception and concert featuring the tremendously talented and versatile singing group Three Mo’ Tenors.

The 2012 Spring Soirée is scheduled for Friday, May 11th at the Westin Columbus and the Southern Theater. The reception, featuring a raffle with eight deluxe prize packages as well as the traditional wine raffle, will begin at 6 p.m. The concert, in the adjoining Southern Theater, will begin at 8 p.m.

The singers of Three Mo’ Tenors have developed a musical repertoire with astonishing breadth. Like Olympic decathlon athletes, these classically trained, multi-talented operatic tenors have mastered not only operatic music, but also jazz, gospel, soul, spirituals, New School, Broadway, and the blues as well.

Three Mo’ Tenors showcases the extraordinary versatility of African-American tenors. It starts with classical opera and goes on to feature seven more musical styles that span four hundred years of music — all in one entertaining evening.

“This year, in place of the silent auction, we are ‘conducting’ a raffle with prizes ranging from a week-long stay in a villa in St. Croix, premium seats to two Buckeye home games and brunch with OSU President Gordon Gee, Breakfast at the Easton Tiffany’s – and one surprise, ‘what’s behind the curtain’ gift,” said ProMusica Executive Director Janet Chen. “All of these extraordinary prizes or experiences will support ProMusica’s continuing artistic excellence and growing educational and outreach programming.”

In addition to the prize package raffle, attendees can also purchase a ticket for a wine raffle: a 30-bottle collection includes a wide variety of quality reds and whites, and an exclusive cellared vintage wine valued at over $200.

Patron tickets for the 2012 Spring Soirée, which includes the cocktail reception, raffle and concert, are priced at: Gold Package, $350 per person; Silver Package, $275 per person; Bronze, $200 per person; and the Spring Couple Package, $300 per couple (ages 35 and under). Tickets for the Three Mo’ Tenors concert only are $80, $60, $50 and $30.

“Between the cocktail reception, raffle, and the Three Mo’ Tenors performance, this is going to be a really fun evening, and a great benefit to help support our Columbus ProMusica Chamber Orchestra,” said Janet Chen.
