The Brooklyn-based Rad Trads return to town for two local shows next week as part of a six-date romp around the Midwest. The brass-powered, jazz-raised rockers will bring their exuberant live show first to The Refectory on Tuesday, March 21st for a Jazz Dinner Club series event that starts at 6pm. Then, on Friday, March 24th at Skully’s in the Short North, the band will play a blockbuster triple bill of rock, soul, funk, jazz and more as they share the stage with Columbus heavyweights The Floorwalkers and Forest & The Evergreens. Doors open at 8pm – tickets are $10 in advance here and $12 at the door. The band has spent most of the last three years on the road, including recently opening for Tom Jones at the Dubai Jazz Festival and playing shows in Egypt. Somehow, they are also finding time to record new material, and are finishing up a second album they hope to release in early summer.
