Last month we first brought you the news of the new Camelot Cellars Jazz Series happening every third Friday of the month during the summer. This month the jazz is back with the Tim Cummiskey Duo on Friday, July 20th starting at 6pm. Enjoy your favorite glass of wine, fine Italian artisan meats, cheeses and salads while you take in the jazz musicianship of guitarist Tim Cummiskey along with an acoustic bass player in this Short North establishment. Back under local ownership, Camelot Cellars has been radically transformed back to the essence of an authentic winery. The interior reflects a vintage modern feel with Tuscan & French accents and expresses the Camelot’s foundation that ‘wine is art’ .
Central Ohio guitarist Tim Cummiskey performs as both a leader and a sideman throughout the Midwest. Cummiskey currently leads several groups ranging from solo jazz and classical guitar to group configurations including duos, The Tim Cummiskey Trio, and the Tim Cummiskey Quartet. Here is Tim and his trio performing the jazz classic “Body and Soul”.
