Drummer James Gaiters and his band MUV-Ment return to Dick’s Den in Worthington on Friday along with Dean Hulett on bass, Lovell Bradford on piano, and Eddie Bayard on saxophone. The band is coming off a great show at the McConnell Arts Center from a few weeks ago. Though the group draws inspiration and influence from a wealth of musical sources, their sound is probably closest to a modern interpretation of the hard bop sound of the ’50s/’60s and has been compared to the classic John Coltrane quartet.
