The Worthington will host saxophonist Andrew Waters and vocalist Adria Shahid in concert from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 12. The concert is the first installment of The Worthington’s “Jazz ‘n Juice” fall concert series, an effort to bring accomplished local talent back to the community.

The event is free and open to the public. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Waters is a virtuoso of saxophone and a veteran performer of more than 25 years, having shared the stage with talented artists such as Kenny G, Everette Harp, Pieces of a Dream, Kim Waters and many others. During the 90’s, Waters played with the Columbus, Ohio-based group The Jazz Patrol.

Shahid has shared her musical talents all across the United States as well as the Caribbean Islands and Canada. She offers a youthful undertone with a Jazz/Neo-soul inspired freedom balanced with creative, high energy performances.

Additionally, The Worthington will host concerts in October and November featuring premier jazz artists. Vocalist Luxury Brown will perform on October 10, and keyboardist/vocalist “Jazz Mary” Daniels will perform on November 14.
