The Tommy Wade Orchestra will debut this Saturday January 29th at the Aladdin Shrine Center in Columbus. The Tommy Wade Orchestra is a brand new big band orchestra consisting of some of the best jazz players in the city performing some of your favorite big band and swing compositions from: Maynard Ferguson, Stan Kenton, Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, along with most of the old dance bands. Musicians in the band include: Vaughn Wiester, Nelson Fought, Tom Allen, Larry Fox, John Harner, John Vermuellen, Randy Mather, Mark Donovan, Bryan Finley, Art Silva, Linda Dachtyl, just to mention a few.

Tom Wade is the trumpet section leader and is the assistant director of The Tony Lewis Swing Orchestra. Tom has played in many different jazz bands over the years including Johnny Mack’s Concert Jazz Orchestra of Dayton, The Bruno Masdea Big Band, and Rick Brunetto’s Big Band. Tom plays on a Benge 3X Plus trumpet and a Benge 5X flugelhorn.
