Derek DiCenzo’s “Moderne Craptette” trio returns with a vengeance this Wednesday and Thursday December 22nd and 23rd respectively. Wednesday night the “Craptette” will be at the Rumba Cafe starting at 9pm and then Thursday night at Dick’s Den. Derek will be leading the trio playing Hammond B3 organ and a wealth of other sounds, along with Dave Dewitt on bass and Maxwell Button on drums. As for the name, we’re not sure either but we’re sure it’s going to be a great show!
Derek DiCenzo is a multi-instrumentalist who is as comfortable playing jazz on the acoustic bass as on the organ, accordion, steel drum or even the guitar (subtle humor).
Dave DeWitt is one of the most “in demand” musicians in the Columbus music scene. As a bassist, he can be found as a member of a number of local groups, and is a gifted pianist in his own right. He brings great musical depth to each performance. Maxwell Button is one of the most in demand drummers in Columbus, performing with many local jazz performers in a variety of settings.
