Venue Lounge Celebrates 1st Anniversary

One of the newest jazz, blues and R&B clubs in the city, The Venue Lounge, is celebrating its first year of operation with “1st Year Anniversary Celebration” on June 25th from 4pm to 2:30am. There will be exciting live performances by AC and Hawk (patio 6-8pm) and Jimmy McGhee (main stage 8pm – 12am).

The Venue Lounge, located at 2063 E Livingston Ave in Columbus, Ohio, is an Eastside live music club catering nightly to mature professionals for networking, cocktails and the sounds of live Jazz, Blues & R&B music. Located in the heart of the city, The Venue Lounge offers a unique perspective of a nightclub through their continued support of the community and advocating for local nonprofit organizations and local musicians. Club owners, Darryl Williams and Curtis Mackey are enthusiastic about giving back,

“We are not just a nightclub, we want to give back to the communities we serve”, Williams states.

The Venue Lounge has hosted and supported various community fundraising events for The Huckleberry House, Central Community House, South Side Settlement House, Merry Makers Club, the Arthritis Foundation, the Children’s Hospital Telethon, and other local non-profit organizations. The Venue Lounge welcomes other community service organizations for partnerships and future events.

The Venue Lounge supports local live bands and musicians in Columbus and surrounding areas.

Every Thursday, The Venue Lounge host a live music Jam Session where many local singers and musicians join the stage to showcase their talents weekly. The Venue Lounge also has live local band performances on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings featuring some of the top talented musicians and singers around.
